This inspirational Literacy resource provides Yr 2-6 pupils [P3 – 7 in Scotland and Northern Ireland] with the opportunity to create a personal response to the natural environment, in the form of poetry writing. Pupils may choose from a variety of given templates and pre-prepared word banks or work from their own ideas.

What do you do?

A selection of outline shapes is provided, or alternatively draw and paint tools can be used to create pupils' own shapes.  A comprehensive word bank is available to choose from, with an option for pupils to add their own words. The completed poems can be printed out
