Why?

The UK is the least wooded country in Europe.

We believe that planting more trees is not a luxury but essential if we are to tackle the challenges we are facing at many levels - such as healthy communities, wildlife loss and climate change adaptation.

Our manifesto 'Growing the Future' calls upon all the political parties to commit to the following actions (among others):

  • adopting a target of doubling native woodland cover in the UK over the next 50 years
  • enabling every child to plant trees and engage with the natural world as part of their formal education

We need your support to help make these a priority in the next Parliament, so add your support with our easy action now!
