More ideas your boat:

  • Have a race with your friends - set your boats off down a stream or blow them across a puddle, who is the winner?
  • Test how much cargo your boat can carry - try loading it with small pebbeles, fallen flower heads and leaves to see how strong it is.
  • Use different materials - follow these instructions with larger paper, card or waterproof materials.
  • Colour or paint it! Leaves and petals mashed up with water make fantastic natural paints :O)
  • Make a 3D collage - cover your boat's hull with leaves, do they make it waterproof? What can you use to increase the size of the sails so they catch the wind?
  • Every good boat needs a flag! Use a twig for a flag pole, what can you fly from it - leaves, petals...?
