Super-sleuth
Practice your skills as a nature detective by finding the signs that a feast has taken place.
Look for things like:
- hedgehog poo - usually full of bits of beetle, yuck!
- owl pellets - usually containing small bones and bits of fur
- broken, empty snail shells - song thrushes bash them open to eat the snail inside
Did you find any?

Food chains
Food chains are a great way of showing us how animals get their food. They also show the relationships between predator (the 'eater') and prey (the thing being eaten).
- they always start with a plant
- the plant is always eaten by an animal
- these animals can also be eaten by other animals
Download this food chains puzzle and see if you can put the plants and animals in the right order:
