Plant a seed that will grow into a tree, to give to a friend or family member - great for birthdays or planning ahead for Christmas.
Go nuts in the woods
The woods are full of fallen seeds and fruits right now.
Autumn is the time when trees drop their seeds - some are blown away by the wind; some are carrieda way by water; some are buried by animals who forget all about them; some are eaten by animals and pooped out; others are collected by people and planted.
All of these are different ways that new trees grow from the seeds of older trees :O)
Search for a gifts
Get outdoors and find some fallen seeds - oak, beech or hazel is best as these are the best seeds to plant now.

Watch closely
It will take a few weeks for your seed to sprout.
Watch it closely, and if it starts to poke through the soil before you give it away, draw it on the chart and record the date.
You can then give the chart to its new owner too, so they can see how their gift started off :O)
