How creative can you be with natural
items?

To enter the competition you'll need to create
a piece of outdoor art. It could be anything from
a pretty leaf circle to a useful scarecrow :O)

 

 
Lots of prizes

Including: trophies

Outdoor art masterclasses, family
passes to sculpture parks and art kits.  
 

Plus prizes for age category winners and runners-up.

 


Pick an age category

Four to choose from:

  • under 5
  • 5-8
  • 8-11 
  • 11-16

     

     

Get creative

Explore your local wood, park, school grounds or the beach - look for natural materials to make your masterpiece.

Think about:

  • colours
  • textures
  • shapes
  • materials
  • the changing seasons
  • how the weather might enhance your art

Enter 

To enter your photograph or video clip of your masterpiece, you need to upload them to the nature detectives ARTventure group on Flickr.

Make sure you include these tags when you upload it:

  • your age
  • your name 
  • your age category

or if your school or group is entering:

  • school/group name
  • post code
  • age category

If you don't tag your photo or video clip with the age category your entry won't be entered into the competition as we won't know which category to put it in.

You'll need a free Flickr account before you can upload your photo (adults can sign in using facebook, Google or Yahoo).

Top tips 

When you're creating outdoor art you get to play in the fresh air and create a cool, natural masterpiece all in one go.

To get started, you just need some ideas and some interesting natural materials.

Mud, leaves, twigs, petals, bark, grass, seeds, stones...you'll never be short of supplies! (You might find some string and scissors helpful too.)
