Did ye know that this Monday be
'Talk like a pirate day'?

So come aboard ye olde seadogs,
weigh anchor and set sail in search of
an island to call yer own.

Arrrrrr! 

Here be pirates!
Yer challenge is to hunt, command yer crew and talk like a pirate

Avast! Who goes there?

What be yer name?

Be you a pirate or land-lubber?

Give yerself a tree-themed name like:

  • Long John Silver Birch
  • Captain Mossy Beech
  • First mate Stumpy Ash
  • Deck hand Limpet Lime

Find yer island 

Every pirate worth his salt has his own treasure island for hornswagglin' an' buryin' booty. Where be yours?

If ye don't have one, ye'll be needin' to find one with a good place to hide yer tresure :O)

Choose yer crew

Which o' these woodland stowaways would ye choose
to help ye sail to distant shores?

Ye'll be needing ter cut 'em out and dress 'em up
in pirate garb. Stick 'em onto a drawing of a pirate ship or ye can even stick 'em on lollipop sticks to make 'em stand up straight, arrrrrrr!

That's the name of the pirate flag with
the skull and crossbones!

Design yer own pirate flag 'twill make intruders other seafaring scurvy dogs go green around the gills :O)

Hide the loot

Ye'll be needin' a safe place to hide yer treasure from yer crew.

D'ye have an empty shoe box ye could use?

Camouflage it in leaves, twigs and seeds and hide it in a secret place :O)

Where did ye hide it? We won't tell a soul :O)
