CLUB challenge

Friday 14th October

You've found an abandoned raft!

It would be great for racing down the river :O)

But it's broken and needs cleaning up first, complete this week's challenge to fix it.

Your challenge is to: hunt for autumn leaves :O)

Be a detective

Get your super-sleuthing skills ready to collect autumn leaves.

First you need to know which colours to look for! Match the leaves outdoors with this autumn leaf colour bingo chart :O)

There's a space on the chart for you to give the colours some wacky names like:

  • muddy maple
  • mellow yellow
  • oaken orange

What wacky names can you come up with?

If you have some spare leaves why not make some leafy bookmarks? All you need to do is place your leaf on a strip of card and cover it with sticky tape (or you could laminate it if you have a laminator).

These make brilliant Christmas presents!

What have you made?

Leaflights

Now that the evenings are getting darker, it's a great time to have some torchlit adventures!

Using sticky tape, stick an autumn leaf over the end of your torch. What happens when you shine it against a tree trunk, a wall or the ground?
