CLUB challenge

Friday 19th August

Your adventure is taking you
through the trees, but you
suddenly find a barrier blocking
your way.

Complete this week's challenge
to break down the barrier and
continue on your journey.

Your challenge: go on a tree climbing adventure :O)

Giant climbing frame

Woods are like giant climbing frames - there are trees to climb up, logs to balance on, branches to crawl under or swing from, hollow tree trunks to hide in...

It's fantastic fun for any age :O)

Find a woodland climbing frame near you:

What's the view like from up in your tree?

Draw a picture, make up a poem, or take a photo.

Balancing act

If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, or are a little bit younger, find tree stumps and logs to balance on instead.

Can you also find low branches to duck under, fallen logs to shimmy under or crawl along, hollow tree trunks to climb into?

Play stepping stones

How far can you get around the wood without touching the ground?

Look for tree roots, low branches, fallen logs and tree stumps to use as 'stepping stones' across the woodland floor.

Have a contest to see who can get the furthest!
